AUSTRALIAN FOLKLORE CONNECTIONS

Compiled by Graham Seal

This site brings together links to online sources and resources related to the research and study of folklore in Australia – a very broad field, which is why it is perpetually ‘under construction’.

As well as sources in Australia it also includes relevant sites elsewhere, primarily in Britain and America, though increasingly in other countries with a connection to Australia’s rich multicultural traditions. The site is organised accordingly.

This resource is primarily about online sources, there are many other folklore collections and archives that are not digitised and so only accessible in person. Hopefully, this will change over time and any new sites will be added.

The listings are not exhaustive but those sites that do appear often include links to others that are not individually noted.
